Tarja Turunen plans a new home in Argentina
I don't have baby fever

Nightwish's former vocalist Tarja Turunen, 29, who's working on her second solo album, misses her two home countries in turn. The singer's life is full of traveling, but at least she doesn't need to be apart from her husband, Marcelo Cabuli.

Tarja Turunen Cabuli, who rose to world fame as the front woman of Nightwish glows of happiness. The former band has found a new vocalist, her second solo album is in good shape and the love with Argentinean manager-husband Marcelo Cabuli blossoms.
- I'm enjoying the last moments before the action starts, Tarja describes her feelings.
The young girl from Kitee has gone through a lot after 1996 when Tuomas Holopainen invited her to join Nightwish. Despite the huge success and world tours Tarja finished her classical singing studies and can now consontrate on creating her own style as a solo artist after being fired from the band.

The phonebills grow

Tarja has finished the demorecordings of her album in Argentina, which has become a second home to the North-Carelian girl through marriage.
- I don't have much time to be in Finland during the summer, since I'm going next to Ibiza to record. I fell in love with the island during a composing camp. We were far away from the partying places and saw a totally different side of the place. The views were amazing, Tarja, who has updated her hairstyle, describes with enthusiasm her upcaming working enviroment.
The family's other home is in Kuusankoski, but the dark beauty wont be seen too often there this summer.
- That's the way it is, friends miss there and the family in North-Carelia, Tarja says.
- I'm used to being there for a week and another one here. Our phonebills are terrible, Tarja laughs.

I'm really picky

Tarja doesn't have to be away from her husband and manager Marcelo Cabuli, not that neither of them would want that. By Tarja's side Marcelo has seen a lot, some of it bad. He got his share of the hassle, when Tarja was fired from Nightwish. Marcelo was considered a big contributory cause for the problems between Tarja and rest of the band.
Now when looking at Tarja's serene appearance and listening to uninhibited speech one might say that Tarja is happier than in a long time. One reason for being happy is the new home in Buenos Aires that they're desinging. Tarja is going to furnish it in a Finnish way. One of the most important spaces will be a Finnish sanctuary, the sauna.
- I'm really picky, Tarja admits.
- The sauna oven has to be Finnish and not a local oven that wont warm above 40 degrees, Tarja laughs.

Beside Tarja Marcelo has learned to enjoy Finnish things - the latino especially likes being in the sauna. Marcelo's sauna enthusiasm makes Tarja smile.
- Marcelo has become more Finnish, since it specifically was him who wanted a sauna in our new home, Tarja reveals.
- The sauna will cause some cogitating to the architect, she continues amused.
When there'll be a sauna Tarja takes bathing in there with the Finnish seriousness. She gets excited of the idea of taking bath whisks to Argentina.
- They could be frozen while they're fresh.

Not the time for children yet

The singer who turns 30 in August dreams of starting her own family. The noice of little feet isn't current quite yet however.
- This isn't bulging yet, Tarja bursts into a laugh while patting her flat waist.
Tarja's biological clock isn't ticking yet. On the other hand, Tarja doens't believe it'll tick much at any point.
- I'm not the type to have baby fever, Tarja ponders.
- Of course I hope that I'll be blessed with children at some point, but I don't think baby fever will ever hit me, she thinks.

In Finland I miss Argentina - and the other way around

Tarja's second solo album is the most important thing to the world class star. Work takes her all over the world so starting a family right now wouldn't be possible.
- Our life is like this - traveling all the time, Tarja says plainly and thanks the people close to her, who are used to the traveling citizen of two countries.
- In Finland I miss Argentina and in Argentina I miss Finland, she laughs when the Finnish sun caresses with all it's force.
- I get so much energy and inspiration from days like these, that it's also a shame that I'll spend the summer inside four walls in the studio, she sighs.
