Anssi, Renne and... Tuomas Holopainen! Welcome!
TH: Thanks a lot!
- The man behind Nightwish, or let's say the brain and soul of the band, if I may say. Am I correct?
TH: Öööööööhhh.... I can live with that.

- Harharhar! What else with the band? You got a new CD coming up and new fine hit single. Have you been busy?
TH: Awful fuss going on all the time. Funny thing, we finished the CD after staying ten months in the studio, and right when we got the master recoerd in our hands we got awfully busy. Now we're only waiting for to get us on the tourbus for some rest.
- Oh, you mean touring will be your vacation?
TH: Right now it feels like it.
- How long tour you have coming up around the new CD?
TH: Our plan is to do gigs until the fall 2009, for about two years.
- For two years? In a row?
TH: Well, not quit in a row. -There will be breaks in between, something like one or two weeks.
- That will let you relax for sure! Now, if someone in this country didn't know it yet, you changed your singer. What exactly has changed with Anette coming onboard?
TH: Mmm... Let's say that the feeling in the band is now as good as it ever was with the old singer on the best old days. It all has brought us a kind of light of hope that we might still become something.
- Harharhar... Extremely modest gentleman here: "This might become something... we've got this little band here, called Nightwish..."

- We have got hints that you are quite a Disney fan. Is it correct?
TH: Yes it is.
- Now we want to hear who is your favourite disney character and why?
TH: I have to be boring here and name Donald Duck.
- So you're a Donald Duck-person.
TH: I definitely am.
- Are you as unfortunate as he is?
TH: No. As a matter of fact I sometimes feel that I was born under such fortunate stars that I'm rather like Gander Goose. But Donald as a person is such reckless and able to do many things, always trying hard to the end and warm-hearted. He is wery easy to connect with.
- Yeah, one could even say that Donald Duck is a caricature of a Finnish man!
TH: Yeah, absolutely!

- Your heroes are also McGyver and Moomin Mama. Am I correct?
TH: Definitely, when we are talking about the "idol deparment" outside music world. Moomin Mama... I mean I'm a big fan of Moomins and the personality this character has, the psychological eye, everyone should pay heed on her.
- Wait a minute! I began to think about this Moomin Mama and your rock-credibility, don't you see any conflict between them?
TH: I don't undestand about rock-credibility - as matter of fact I dont understand anything about rock and roll, so it's no problem.

- Harharhar... Y'now, actually you and Anssi (the other DJ in the studio) have a common history. Does Anssi look familiar or do you recall seeing the face before?
TH: ...I can't remember.
- Why, you must remember me, we were once in the same studio drinking cider like best frinds in the monitor room.
- Anssi has been bragging here in the radio that he is singing on your CD, was it on Wishmaster Anssi?
- Yes I did sing on Wishmaster, as a matter of fact on four tracks I was on backing vocals.
TH: Right, yeah! You were one of the kids. I mean I ordered this heavy male choir and comes up these five 18-year old choirboys. It was actually quite funny situation
- Wasn't it even a castrate choir, harharhar...
TH: Yeah, the boys did their job fine, nothing to complain.

- You have the same birthday, Dec 25 as our savious Jesus Christ.
TH: Some similar looks, too, they say...
- Harharhar... Wasn't it hard for you as a kid when Chrismas and birthday were the same. I mean many who have a similar situation keep complaining that they only got one set of gifts.
TH: Yes, it is true. I can't remember ever having had a birthday, all gifts were given on Christmas Eve and mom took one parcel aside to be opened on the morning of Chrismas Day. Actually also my nameday haooens to be quite in the same pack, on Dec 21st, so it was always one big party, all in one.
- It's not the same as several parties, just to save one gift for the next day.
TH: It isn't but it ahs always been like that to me, so it doesn't matter. I'm not bitter...

- I have been thinking about how you will spend a lot of time on a tourbus, tell me dies it ever happen anything significant on the bus or are you all only sleeping there? Have you got any stories about what may happen on a tourbus?
TH: You may well quess... It is all about the basic shit rock'n'roll is about. It's not so fun as one might think, even though I like riding on a tourbus more than anything. It's something extremely romantic.
- Rock life includes practical jokes between guys. Do you do any such things in the band?
TH: We used to do that, but maybe we're getting old and too lazy to do much of that any more.
- The psyche won't take it anymore.

- A number of our listeners ahve asked this: What kind of relation you guys have with your ex-singer Tarja Turunen?
TH: We haven't had any contact since October 2005.
- That's a clear answer. You keep doing your thing and she keeps doing her's.
TH: That's right.
