Tarja Turunen is sitting in the restaurant of a Brazilian hotel.
She gets noticeably serious when the discussion turns to the Romanian doctor who sent her some telepathic aid during the difficult and exhausting moments of the Once tour. The co-operation ended badly, though, when Turunen found out about the said gentleman's true agendas.

"This very impressive man took part in the organization of our concerts in Romania, and during the latter gig I was very scared for both myself and Marcelo. His great powers added to such a dark side form a dangerous combination.
In the beginning our co-operation worked fine, and he really did help me in many difficult moments. For example the day before Ruisrock I couldn't even speak, but then that doctor sent me healing energy. The process took about forty-fice minutes and I actually felt this person's presence inside my body. I was completely unable to do anything else during those moments.
Unfortunately I was shocked to learn later that this guy has some kind of perversions about me. In other words the action got far too personal from his part and the co-operation had to be stopped right there. I'm terrified to think what he saw in me. Or thought he did. And what has he thought and done during those moments when he has in a way been inside my body and I have been completely helpless."

Do you also believe in, for example, the healing power of music?

"Absolutely. Music and singing are able to do miraculous things. In addition I still believe in abovementioned channelling of energy even though that experience ended badly.
I really have no choice, I've got so impressive personal experiences. I am going to read more about these things as soon as I have some time off."

Could you tell more about your Christmas concerts in Finland and abroad?

"They will be these warm, acoustic-based events. It's absolutely wonderful to get a chance to sing around Europe, using my own name. The performances will also be recorded and filmed but we haven't decided about the publishing yet.
The repertoire I've planned is very wide because my audience is also very wide and consists of very different kinds of people. There will be some classical church music, Bach and Schubert's Ave Maria for example. Then there'll be some traditional Finnish Christmas carols like En etsi valtaa, loistoa and some international numbers like O Holy Night. Thre might even echo the melodies of Walking In The Air and some more poppish tunes. In Germany I will perform in German and in Spain in Spanish.
My full-lenght Christmas album will come out in the end of the next year. I still don't call this Christmas album as my first solo. A time for that will come later.
I've been really excited planning this solo album already, though, I'd really love to get the work started! With this solo I can finally put the hard school I've been through in Nightwish in use for my advantage. There will be no metal on the album but no classical music either.
I think there's something in between too."
